[dropcap]I[/dropcap]t’s a race day unlike any other, where 16 worthy charities are paired with 16 celebrities, 16 media houses and of course 16 top Thoroughbreds for a day of world-class horseracing, entertainment and plenty of excitement.

What to expect

The Peermont Emperors Palace Charity Mile will take place on Saturday, 5 November 2016 at Turffontein Racecourse.

The main race on the day boasts prize money of R1 million, but even more significant is the R1 million in prize money which will be divided between the charities on the day. The winning charity will receive R150 000, second place will receive R100 000 with all 14 other charities getting proportionate amounts of the total donation, depending on the allocated horse’s placement.

Gear up for another exciting day at the races

Last year’s race day didn’t disappoint with Thembakazi Primary After Care Centre winning R150 000 after being paired with the winning horse on the day, Bouclette Top along with celebrity, Top Billing presenter Jonathan Boynton-Lee.

There are various hospitality options available in the Aquanaut or Furious Room and Deck at Turffontein, all with a prime view of the race track.

Another very popular option is Triple B – The Bourbon, Beer and Burger Festival, which is again a hospitality option at this year’s Peermont Emperors Palace Charity Mile. This family-friendly track side area combines the best of pop-up food, bubbly, bourbon and craft beer, with all the excitement of a day at the races. Go to http://www.TripleB.co.za/ to book your spot.

All for a good cause, come and support world class racing at the Peermont Emperors Palace Charity Mile on Saturday 5 November 2016. Gates open at 11am.
