The Equidome arena is of world class standard

[dropcap]T[/dropcap]he Equidome opened its doors to the competitive equestrian community on Thursday 24 September. The The Equidome Heritage Day Extravaganza saw South Africa’s competitors come from near and far to enjoy the brand new world class facility. Stan and Leoni Van Der Burgh are the pioneers behind the birth of this exceptional facility. Riders who attended the show over this past weekend were truly impressed with the standard of the Equidome and the overall turnout of the event.

Thursday evening’s classes started with the 1.35m class and ended off with the 1.40m class. Spectators

came from all over Gauteng to enjoy an evening of competitive showjumping. Ryan Sander built a challenging yet fair track. The Equidome show was excellent exposure for the horses who have not yet experienced riding in an indoor arena.

The club house and members areas offer spectators an exceptional view of the arena. The catering and service was fantastic, and thoroughly enjoyed by many.

Congratulations to Stan and Leoni, as well as the team that has made this all possible, on their extraordinary new venue. Riders can look forward to many successful shows at the Equidome in the future.
