Capital Stud would like to wish you all a happy and safe festive season. Thank you to all our fans for their loyal support and making the 2018 Capital Stud Auction a huge success. Another big thank you goes out to the Capital Stud Team who worked so hard to help make this event happen, right from the beginning stages through to the organising and running of the event itself.
Looking back on 2018, it has been an extremely rewarding year, from unbelievable results in the show jumping ring both locally and internationally, to another successful auction.
Capital Stud Auction 2018:
The second Capital Stud Auction once again broke records with locally bred, Capital Colman (Capital Colnardo / For Pleasure), selling for R1.5 million.
Capital Stud also offered the opportunity for lucky new owners to own an internationally bred import. The selection included the Westfallien import – Capital Collin (Chin Win / Stakkato) sold for R810k. The Belgian imports included Capital Night Star (Toulon / Darco) sold for R800k; stallion – Capital Maestro (Indoctro / Corrado I) selling for R680k; Capital Night Fire (My Lord Carthago / Contender) selling for R550k; and half brother to Capital Levubu – Capital New Star (Numero Uno / Cassini I) who sold for R520k.
The auction has also allowed buyers to purchase top bred horses at affordable prices. Some of these steals include:
Capital Coastal Music (Capital Castigo / Land Earl) sold for R130k;
Capital Hewlett (Capital Homerus / Argentinus) sold for R150k; and
Capital Harrison (Capital Hotline / Guidam [Ex Adagio]) sold for R150k
