The traditional pre-Vodacom Durban July Gallops will take place at Greyville Racecourse on Thursday 25 June, starting at 7am.
At this popular annual occasion, the eighteen runners announced in the Final Field will be put through their paces, generally running with a stable companion, providing an opportunity for ardent punters to scrutinise each thoroughbred.
Entrance is free of charge, and the event usually attracts a good crowd, with free coffee and sticky buns offered to all visitors. Also on hand will be models wearing outfits from the finals of the Vodacom Durban July Young Designer Awards, presented by Durban Fashion Fair.
After the last gallop, a local sangoma will throw the bones and forecast the winner of the Vodacom Durban July.
Numerous photo shoot opportunities will be available. No media accreditation is necessary.
