Kim Emmen and the 11-year-old stallion beat a field of 54 in Lanaken
Dutch rider Kim Emmen and Kaiser DMH won the FEI Zangersheide Sires of the World in Lanaken on 18 September. It is the 1.50m class for approved stallions, run during the FEI WBFSH Jumping World Breeding Championships for Young Horses.
Seven of the 54 starters made the jump-off, and Emmen and Kaiser set the winning time of 40.94 seconds. Kaiser DMH is an 11-year-old KWPN stallion by Cardento VDL, bred and owned by Eric Berkhof. He arrived with form: third in a Sires class at Opglabbeek earlier this year, and second in a CSI3* at Wuustwezel. Emmen said: “It was a very strong field of competitors and the course was also quite technically challenging. Kaiser DMH certainly deserves a title like this; he’s an absolute rock star.”
The placed horses
Silver went to Ukraine’s Mykola Pylypeiko and the nine-year-old Holsteiner Money Time (41.70). The stallion is by Million Dollar and was bred by ZG Stegemann. Pylypeiko told De Hoefslag there was no more to give: “There was not more in this horse at this age, we gave everything” (De Hoefslag, 2026, translated from Dutch).
Bronze went to Egor Shchibrik and the 11-year-old Holsteiner Crack HV (42.43). The grey stallion is by Cornet Obolensky and was bred by Campos Cria de Caballos de Deporte in Spain (Zangersheide, 2026; Holsteiner Verband, 2025). Shchibrik, who competes for Palestine, was born in Russia and is based in the Netherlands (Horseweb, 2026). He and Crack HV won individual gold at the FEI Asian Jumping Championship in Pattaya, Thailand, last December.
Fourth was Omar Abdul Aziz Al Marzooqi on the 12-year-old Oldenburg Chacco Bay, and fifth was Lars Kuster of the Netherlands on the nine-year-old Don Tarpania Z, by Dominator 2000 Z and bred by Ab de Lange (De Hoefslag, 2026). Omar Abdul Aziz Al Marzooqi won this class in 2024 on Enjoy de la Mure.
The win follows Marriet Smit-Hoekstra and For Chacco TN, who took the title in 2025. As this class is reserved for approved stallions, it is the one that breeders tend to follow with interest.
